C.D Leganés’ manager José Luis Martí attended the media after his team’s match against C.D Castellón. The pepineros’ manager said his team lacked of effectiveness in the occasions his team created during the match.
“We had possession stages during the match. We lacked of creating deep passes in the first half, we have created more options but did not manage to score them. Unfortunately we scored in our own goal after our rivals’ first or second occasion. We need to continue working everyday, we understand the equality of the competition. We have a big room for improvement both defensively and offensively. We must play to win and that is what we have done. We have created more chances but did not manage to score them and take the points”.
“We have not received any explanation for the disallowed goal yet”
The manager talked about the positive things of the team and the ones to improve: “It is not good to loose neither at the start nor at the end of the competition. We have fought for the match, created good occasions and our rivals’ goalkeeper has been their best player. You find desperation when you cannot score and that makes you make some mistakes. We must pause ourselves and be calmed, knowing that matches are long and we must fight for them till the end”
At the end he said he does not know why Omeruo’s goal was disallowed: “We have not received any explanation about the goal disallowing yet. It would have changed the match as their goal did”
