C.D. Leganes agrees with Turkish club Kasimpasa the transfer of Kenneth Omeruo

C.D. Leganes reached an agreement with Turkish Super League side Kasimpasa S.K. on Thursday for the transfer of 29-year-old Nigerian center-back Kenneth Omeruo. The African defender concludes his time as a Pepinero after five seasons at the club since his arrival in 2018.

Omeruo landed at Butarque in the summer of 2018 on loan from Chelsea F.C. after previously playing in Belgium, the Netherlands and Turkey, in addition to the also English side Middlesbrough. His good performances led Leganes to sign him on loan the following year, signing him for five seasons.

During this time, Omeruo has played a total of 123 official matches for Leganés, making him the African player with the most appearances in the club's history and the second foreigner in total, only behind Mantovani. The club is grateful for his professionalism during his years as a Blue and Whites' player, and wishes him the best of luck in the future.
