Lazar Randjelovic, the right winger with surging pace

On Tuesday C.D. Leganés and Olympiacos F.C. confirmed the loan of Lazar Randjelovic. At 24 years old, playing with 2 seasons worth of experience in Europe, the Balkan winger makes the newest addition to the attacking ranks at C.D. Leganés.

Born in Leskovac, the wide player got his first professinonal call up at Radnicki Nis. He signed in the summer of 2019 for Olympiacos, winning both the league and cup in his first season as well playing in the Champions League group stages and then the Europa League. All in all 31 matches for the Greek side and six goals in all competitions.

Two titles, one cup and plenty of European football

The 2020/21 season saw Olympiacos repeat their title winning campaign, with Randjelovic playing 35 games across all competitions, including Europe. Though having played in the youth categories for his national side in the U21 squad for the 2019 Euros, his performance earned him the chance to debut with the senior team too.

A pacey winger with the ability to surge past his opponents, the Serbian has the versatility to play on either side of the pitch. He joins Leganés after competing in the Champions League qualifiers with Olympiacos and will immediately join the squad in training as the date of his official presentation is still being finalised.
