Lega fought but could not take the victory at Butarque (2-3)

Beautiful day for playing football, the perfect background for a great evening at Butarque for the corresponding forty gameweek of LaLiga SmartBank, between Leganés and Eibar. However, the match wasn’t what the team of Mehdi Nafti wanted, and with an own goal, one goal from Stoichkov, and one from Rahmani the visitors kept fighting for the promotion. Arnaiz and Gaku scored for the local team. 

With a own goal and one from Stoichkov, Eibar went upfront but Arnaiz scored the pepinero goal.

The first time was a tense game, Eibar pressing and Lega trying to make different plays to get upfront on the score. In the first minutes Leganés tried with long distance passes to connect with Arnaiz and Javi Hernández, however there wasn’t any option. But Eibar scored first at Butarque, with an own goal from Nyom. The pepinero team responded to the goal on the minute 26, with a free kick of Rubén Pardo that was saved by the goalkeeper Cantero. The visitors kept pushing and on the minute 29’ Stoichkov  sent the ball again inside the frame, 0-2. 

Nevertheless, the team coached by Mehdi Nafti started to control the ball, and therefore, on the minute 45 José Arnaiz scored a great goal after a good teamwork play. He received the ball inside the box after Rober Ibáñez assisted him to send the ball inside the net. 

Gaku equalized the match but Rahmani scored the third goal.

Just starting the second half, five minutes after the referee authorized the start of the match, Shibasaki Gaku scored the equalizer for Lega, this came after a long distance shot that helped the team to equalize the match by 2-2. Four minutes after the goal, Javi Hernández got an opportunity to put the team upfront, with a volley that was controlled by Cantero.  

The blue and white players get better in the second half, and get different opportunities throwing centers from the bands. Borja Garcés was active on the attack of Lega, getting one opportunity on the minute 59 and then on the 61.Eibar keep pushing, and on the minute 65’ Rahmani scored a long shot goal that put the match 2-3.

Lega did not drop the arms on the match, and on the minute 70’ Cissé got an opportunity to equalize the match with a long distance shot that went high. Eibar made things difficult and started to make the game slow, and made things difficult. With this Lega cut a streak of three matches without loosing and Eibar on his part kept fighting for the promotion.
