C.D Leganés won against S.D Eibar (3-1) on their second friendly match of the season. Omeruo, Rosales and José Arnaiz scored the goals for the pepineros, all of them on the first half. Quique scored the only goal for the armeros after a penalty kick on added time.
Leganés started the game with great instensity and scored the first goal on the third minute: Omeruo with a header after a corner kicked by Dani Ojeda allowed the pepineros to start winning the match. José Luis Martí’s team was fast in the pitch and counted with Luis Perea who was making his debut with the team. Rosales scored the second goal with a right-foot shoot in front of the area.
Eibar tried to tie and had their best chance on the 37’ with a header by Sergi Enrich that Cuéllar stopped with a great save. Leganés scored the 3-0 later after a counterattack that ended with a classy goal by José Arnaiz.
3-0 after half-time
The rhythm of the match started to get slow after some substitutions (the pepineros made eight) and the natural fatigue of the match. Arnaiz had the best chance for Leganés but Yoel managed to stop it. The armeros managed to score the last goal of the game after a penalty kick that Quique scored.
It is the second win for Leganés in this preseason. The next game will be played against Rayo Vallecano at Estadio Municipal Butarque on Wednesday (19:00h).
