C.D Leganés will visit U.D Logroñés on Saturday (20:30h) at Las Gaunas stadium for the sixth matchday of LaLiga SmartBank. Kevin Bua and Róber Ibáñez will not be part of the squad. The pepineros will be looking to sum up three points after loosing in their last two matches.
C.D Leganés will be playing its third away match in the league looking to get the first points as visitor. The white and blues did not manage to win against C.D Lugo (2-1) and C.D Castellón (2-0) and will try to do it at Las Gaunas and thus growing in the league table. The pepineros’ manager will be able to count with the internationals Rosales, Omeruo and Shibasaki after they returned from their national teams. Luis Perea will also be available after being injured last match against Girona.
Róber Ibáñez and Kevin Bua will not be part of the squad this time since they are still on recovery from their injuries. The manager commented on a press conference that the international players and Bustinza have some struggles but will be part of the squad.
U.D Logroñés has already won after being back at the category
On the other hand, U.D Logroñés has just achieved their first win after being promoted to second division. The riojanos have made their debut in the category after their foundation in 2009 replacing the extinct C.D Logroñés. They have just defeated U.D Almería and have summed a total of four points in the competition in four matches played (their second matchday was postponed). They have also tied against C.D Castellón at home (1-1).
The white and reds’ manager Sergio Rodríguez confirmed that the goalkeeper Roberto Santamaría and defender Unai Medina are on doubt with physical difficulties. One of their new signings, the polish Bogusz will not be part of the squad since he is adapting to the team. A former pepinero is part of the current riojanos’ squad: Jaime Sierra, who made his debut in first division with the white and blues and played a total of two matches in the 2017/18 season.
