Maximum equality in the clashes against Málaga C.F. at Butarque

C.D. Leganés will receive Málaga C.F. this Monday for the fourth time in its history in an official match. Pepineros and boquerones have faced each other on three occasions in Madrid, with a balanced balance of one win for each team and one draw.

The first duel took place in the 1998/99 season, with both teams in the Second Division, and ended with a Malaguista victory by 0-2. It would take eighteen years for Leganés and Málaga to meet again, this time in the top flight in a duel that ended in a goalless draw in the 2016/17 season.

Eraso and Amrabat scored in the victory in the last duel.

A year later, Asier Garitano's side won 2-0 thanks to goals from Javi Eraso and former Malaguista, Nordin Amrabat. Three seasons later, the two teams will once again face each other, this time in the silver category, with the Pepineros looking to return to the elite. In addition, Leganés also met once in the Copa del Rey against the former C.D. Málaga, in a tie in the 1988/89 season, which opened in the old Luis Rodríguez de Miguel with a draw (1-1), with Quique scoring the Pepineros' goal.
