C.D. Leganés receives S.D. Ponferradina this Monday (19:00) at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, in a match corresponding to the thirty-fifth round of LaLiga SmartBank. The pepineros are looking for three important points to continue with their aspirations for the final stretch of the championship.
C.D. Leganés returns home after failing to win in their visit to the leader in the last matchday. The pepineros played a good match at the RCDE Stadium that was decided by details, and now they want to win again at their home ground, where they are the second best team in the whole LaLiga SmartBank only behind R.C.D. Espanyol.
The three points would consolidate the Blue and Whites in the promotion play-off places, while distancing this Monday's opponent, who already took all three points in the first leg match at El Toralín (3-2). Coach Asier Garitano has Borja Bastón back after serving a suspension, and will be without the injured Palencia, Bustinza, Ignasi Miquel and Lasure.
S.D. Ponferradina, looking for a win to get closer to the play-offs
For its part, S.D. Ponferradina arrives at Butarque with the intention of adding another victory that brings them closer to the 'play-off' positions. The team from Bierzo is seven points behind the sixth position that gives access to the playoffs for promotion, so a victory would put them back in the fight for those positions.
The Castilian team arrives after four games without a win, in which they have three draws and one defeat, although they have only lost one of their last nine matches (3-1 in Girona). After six consecutive outings without taking the three points, Jon Pérez 'Bolo' will be looking for the spoils in Butarque without left back Moi Delgado, suspended, and with the presence of former Pepinero player Erik Morán.
The match will be refereed by the Valencian referee, Mr. Saúl Ais Reig.
