Preview: C.D. Leganés, looking to make it three wins out of three against Albacete Balompié

C.D. Leganés receives Albacete Balompié this Sunday (18:15) at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, in a match corresponding to the twenty-fifth round of LaLiga SmartBank. The pepineros are looking for their third consecutive victory against a rival in a good line that wants to get out of the bottom of the table.

C.D. Leganés returns to Butarque to face the first of the three consecutive matches they will play at their stadium in just seven days. The Blue and Whites welcome Albacete Balompié after having achieved two consecutive victories in the two matches that Asier Garitano has led from the bench after his return to the club, looking to string together three wins in a row for the third time so far this season.
The pepineros already achieved this streak between matchdays 6 and 8, beating U.D. Logroñés, Real Zaragoza and Real Oviedo, and between matchdays 12 and 14, beating A.D. Alcorcón, Málaga C.F. and R.C.D. Espanyol. For this Sunday, the Blue and Whites, the second best team at home in the championship, have Luis Perea back after serving a suspension in Girona, while Asier Garitano has no suspended players.

Albacete Balompié seeks its fourth consecutive win away from the Carlos Belmonte

For its part, Albacete Balompié starts the day in relegation positions, but in a great line of results since the arrival of Alejandro Menéndez, third coach of the La Mancha team so far this season after Lucas Alcaraz and Aritz López Garai. The Asturian coach faces his eighth game in the dugout, having won 13 of the 21 points at stake since his arrival as a result of four wins, one draw and two defeats.
Albacete had accumulated five unbeaten games and three consecutive victories until last week, when they lost by the minimum against R.C.D. Mallorca (0-1), and have now won three consecutive matches away from the Carlos Belmonte. In Butarque, the Argentinean central defender Gorosito will not be able to play, due to suspension, nor the injured Diamanka, a former Pepinero player, and Carlos Isaac.
The match will be refereed by the Cantabrian referee, Mr. José Antonio López Toca.
