C.D. Leganés receives C.E. Sabadell this Sunday (18:15) at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, in a match corresponding to the thirty-third round of LaLiga SmartBank. The pepineros are looking to close the week with a win against a rival that needs to win to escape from the lower positions of the table.
C.D. Leganés returns to Butarque after two consecutive outings, in which they faced two of the top three teams and in which they drew and lost by the minimum. The pepineros face the last ten league matches from the fifth position and in a position to fight to get into the fight for one of the promotion places to LaLiga Santander.
Looking ahead to Sunday's match, the Blue and Whites' coach, Asier Garitano, will not be able to count on right back Sergi Palencia, who has been suspended for one match after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season against R.C.D. Mallorca. The injured Ignasi Miquel, Lasure and Avilés will also be absent, while Rubén Pérez will be available after serving a suspension in the last match, and Jonathan Silva will return to the squad after weeks of absence due to a shoulder problem.
C.E. Sabadell, to add to get out of the low zone
For its part, C.E. Sabadell arrives at Butarque with the need to add to get out of the lower zone of the classification. The Harlequins start the day in the relegation places, although only one point away from the salvation zone, so a win would take them out of the red zone. This is something they have already done this season against the Pepineros, whom they beat in the first round at the Nova Creu Alta (1-0).
The coach of the Catalan team, Antonio Hidalgo, has no absentees due to suspension for this matchday, to which they arrive after three matches without losing, with draws at home against Real Sporting (1-1) and Girona F.C. (2-2) and a win away in Lugo (0-1). Sabadell is a dangerous visitor, as five of their seven victories this season have come away from home (in addition to the Anxo Carro, they won in Ponferrada, Tenerife, Cartagena and Las Palmas).
The match will be refereed by the referee from Murcia, Mr. Rafael Sánchez López.
