Preview: C.D. Leganés seeks to return to winning ways in Oviedo

C.D. Leganés visits Real Oviedo this Sunday (20:30) at the NMR Carlos Tartiere, in a match corresponding to the twenty-ninth round of LaLiga SmartBank. The pepineros are looking to get back to winning ways in a stadium with fond memories for the club.

C.D. Leganés faces a new trip with the intention of getting back to three points to consolidate its fourth position and try to cut points over the first three classified. The Blue and Whites took a point in the last match against C.D. Castellón, remaining five points behind the second place currently occupied by U.D. Almería.
Looking ahead to Sunday's match, the coach of the Pepeños, Asier Garitano, can count again on the Nigerian central defender Kenneth Omeruo, who could not play in the last match due to an accumulation of cautions, and could have the entire squad available in a stadium of great memory for the coach from Bergara, since there he took a big step for Leganés to achieve in 2016 promotion to the First Division.

Real Oviedo, aiming for their third consecutive home win

For their part, Real Oviedo come into the match in the middle of the standings, starting the day in eleventh position, seven points off the 'play-off' places and eight above the relegation zone. The Asturians are in a good moment, as they have accumulated two wins at home and two draws in the last four matchdays.
The carbayones got a valuable point last week at R.C.D. Espanyol, and now they want to keep on winning against another rival from the upper zone. To do so, the Blues' coach, José Ángel Ziganda, will be able to count on all his players as he has no injured or suspended players. In the first leg, Leganés won 2-1 thanks to goals from Shibasaki and Borja Bastón.

The match will be refereed by the referee Mr. Dámaso Arcediano Monescillo.
