C.D. Leganés and Yassine Kechta (Paris, France, February 25, 2002) have reached an agreement for his incorporation into the pepinero club for the next four seasons. The 24-year-old Franco-Moroccan midfielder becomes the fourth blue-and-white signing after arriving as a free agent from Le Havre AC.
Formed in the youth categories of Le Havre AC, the new blue-and-white player kept growing within the academy of the historic French outfit until debuting with the first team in the 2021/22 season. Since then, he consolidated himself as an important piece of the Norman team, reaching 93 matches disputed in Ligue 1, in which he achieved 6 goals and 2 assists.
In the 2022/23 campaign, he was one of the pieces of the Le Havre side that managed to proclaim themselves champions of Ligue 2, achieving promotion to the top tier of French football and returning the historic Norman club to Ligue 1 fourteen years later.
Kechta has been an international in the youth categories of Morocco. In the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, he secured the bronze medal with the Moroccan Under-23 national team.
Yassine is a footballer of great technical quality and vision of the game, capable of unsettling opponents between the lines and possessing a powerful medium and long-distance shot with his left foot.
C.D. Leganés welcomes him and wishes him the best of luck in this new stage that begins as a pepinero.
Yassine Kechta will be presented this Monday, July 13 starting from 13:00 hours in the press room of the Ontime Butarque Stadium.
