C.D. Leganés coach Igor Oca appeared at a press conference on Sunday after his team's match against Real Valladolid, corresponding to the 21st round of LALIGA HYPERMOTION, which ended in a 3-0 victory.
The coach assessed what happened on the pitch as follows:
Winning at home: “I see it from the perspective that we shared it with the fans. We shared a good day of soccer with them, and we needed it. The fans were behind the team, and we felt it at all times. I'm happy about that”.
A complete game: "We managed the game well against an opponent who was in a similar situation to us and needed to win to achieve the objectives set at the beginning of the season. We knew it was going to be difficult because we were struggling to win at home. It's worth highlighting how calm the team was in managing all situations. We managed to create a lot by recovering and being direct, as well as finishing, which we had been lacking. Those six goals in two games say much more than I ever could".
Second consecutive victory: “When I arrived, the situation was a bit critical due to the injuries, and I noticed that the fans were behind us, but they hadn't enjoyed themselves at their stadium in a long time. Two victories in such a competitive league allow you to take a step forward that builds confidence and strengthens the bond with the new coaching staff. It's key to moving forward”.
8 out of 15 points: “We reviewed what we've done to reinforce and improve certain things. We tried to learn from it and focus on what's next. Starting tomorrow, we'll focus on Castellón. It's worth focusing on that and putting all our efforts into it. We can't afford to waste anything. Today we were better than our opponents, but we have to keep it up, and that means working hard”.
