Trained in the youth ranks of Real Madrid C.F., Melero made it to Real Madrid Castilla before signing for S.D. Ponferradina in January 2015. He made his LALIGA HYPERMOTION debut with the Bercianos, playing for a season and a half at El Toralín. In the summer of 2016, he signed for S.D. Huesca to continue competing in the second division, playing in the playoffs in his first season at El Alcoraz and achieving promotion the following year, in a magnificent season in which he scored sixteen league goals.
In 2017/18, he made his debut in LALIGA EA SPORTS with the Huesca team, a category he would not leave the following year when he was transferred to Levante U.D., with Paco López as coach. He spent the next three seasons with Levante, all in the First Division, reaching the semifinals of the Copa del Rey in 2020/21 and completing his professional career in Valencia with nearly 100 games and 17 goals scored.
Melero's last stage in football has been with U.D. Almería. He has played for the Indálico team for the last three seasons, two of them in LALIGA EA SPORTS and the last in LALIGA HYPERMOTION, where he scored five goals and provided four assists. After finishing his time at the Almeria club, Melero now arrives at Leganés to start a new professional cycle in which he will be reunited with Paco López and will try to help the Pepineros achieve their goals.
A midfielder capable of playing as a central midfielder or further forward, Melero is known not only for his extensive experience in LALIGA, but also for his ability to get into the opposition's box from the second line, his powerful shot and his good aerial play, which makes him a powerful weapon from set pieces.
