The Progression Plan
What turns a long stay into a season..
Training for a long time isn't the same as making progress. The difference is having a goal.
1. Upon arriving
It defines where you are and where you're going
An individual study sets your starting point in the four areas we work on: physical, technical, tactical, and mental. From there, specific goals for your season are created. They're not generic: they're yours.
2. During the season
FOLLOW-UP, every week
The club's coaching staff follows your work session by session. The GPS and video record what happens on the field. The goals are reviewed with the player: they are adjusted if needed, and enforced if necessary.
3. When finishing
The results, in a report that's yours
An individual report on physical, technical, tactical, and mental aspects based on data from the whole season. A real and verifiable document to present at any club.
The week
4 o 5 sessions. Video and gym inside.
Professional club pace, not a campus one. You train under the planning and microcycle of the first team.
| MON Train | TUE Rest | WED Train | THU Train | FRI Train | SAT Rest | SUN Match |
First Week. The actual plan depends on the club's microcycle and the competition schedule. Five sessions when the schedule requires it.
Video session
One of the weekly sessions is dedicated to analysis. You look at what you did.
Gym session
Strength, mobility, and injury prevention, according to the club's criteria.
GPS
Every session leaves data. It's what feeds your report at the end of the season.

**About the training. The student visa requires enrollment in a formal education program. C.D. Leganés doesn’t offer it directly: it coordinates it with the European School of Sports, a school specialized in dual careers for athletes, which manages enrollment in High School and equivalent programs. University programs are taken at the European University of Madrid. The path is defined on a case-by-case basis.

About PERFORMANCE YEAR
It is a personalized study that is made at the beginning of the program. It sets specific goals for the player in the physical, technical, tactical, and mental areas, supports their stay with continuous monitoring, and concludes with the results achieved. This is what differentiates a season from a long stay: the work has direction and is measured.
Yes, with legal tutoring. The club arranges it through the European School of Sports for players aged 16 or older who request it. The tutor takes on legal responsibility during the stay and acts as the contact with the family and the consulate. It's a service that is priced separately, depending on the case. In Elite Intensive we don't provide tutoring: minors under 18 come with a family member or accredited legal guardian.
The players at the International Academy train between 4 and 5 sessions a week, with a rest day. Within that week, they include a video analysis session and a gym session. The specific plan is adjusted to the club's microcycle.
Players over 18, or over 16 if they are from the EU, can register with C.D. Leganés teams and play in official competitions. The others regularly play friendly matches against Spanish clubs. In both cases, there is competition.
The study visa requires enrollment in a formal program. The training is defined on a case-by-case basis—Spanish course or coaching training—and is organized through the European School of Sports, a school specialized in dual career paths for athletes, which also handles enrollment in High School and equivalent programs. University programs are taken at the European University of Madrid. C.D. Leganés does not provide the training: it coordinates it with qualified partners.
Six months. What's set is the minimum duration, not the starting month: a player can join in August or October and complete their season. Keep in mind that the duration you request determines the type of visa. For stays longer than six months, you'll need to process the Foreigner Identity Card upon arriving in Spain. And some consulates issue visas for six months or less without the possibility of extension: if you think you'll want to extend your season, plan for that before applying.
Enrollment is flexible: what's set is the minimum duration of six months, not the starting month. The student visa needs some lead time. It usually takes two to three months from when you submit your application at the consulate, so apply at least two months before the program starts. Deadlines vary by country. Write to us in advance: we issue the admission letter that the consulate will ask for.
The conditions are adjusted to each case. Factors like the length of stay, type of accommodation, visa processing, and the education program you're taking—language school, high school, or university—play a role. Each application gets a proposal with the details of your situation.
An individual progression report with sections on physical, technical, tactical, and mental aspects, prepared with data collected throughout the season using GPS and video analysis. It includes the goals set at the beginning and the results achieved. It is issued at the player's request at the end.
