Ismaël Gharbi

Gharbi is a talented offensive player who can play as an attacking midfielder or winger on either flank. Born in Paris to a Tunisian father and a Spanish mother, he has represented both France and Spain at the youth level, ultimately playing for Tunisia’s senior national team, with which he appeared in all three of Tunisia’s group-stage matches at the recently concluded World Cup.

Raised in the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy since the age of twelve, Gharbi made his first-team debut in August 2021 in a French Super Cup match against Lille. That same season, he played his first minutes in Ligue 1, while the following year he continued to balance appearances with the youth team with call-ups and occasional appearances for the Parisian first team.

In the 2023–24 season, Gharbi was loaned to Lausanne, recording seven goals and six assists in his first full season as a professional in the Swiss Super League. In the summer of 2024, he signed with Sporting Braga, playing 35 official matches in his first season in Portugal and making his European debut in the UEFA Europa League.

Last season, Gharbi played on loan at Augsburg, competing in the Bundesliga with the Bavarian team, and represented Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup, appearing in matches against Sweden, Japan, and the Netherlands—starting in the latter game.
