Leganés B secured all three points in their match against A.D. Parla (2-0) in the nineteenth round of Group 7 of Tercera RFEF.
This was the eleventh win of the season and the third in a row for the Pepinero reserve team after beating A.D. Parla in the match played at the Instalación Deportiva Butarque. It was an even, competitive game, but the Pepineros' accuracy in both areas meant that the three points stayed in Leganés.
SULEIMAN EL HADDADI AND HERRERO WERE THE GOAL SCORERS
The team led by Manolo Rueda managed to go into the break with a lead thanks to a goal from Suleiman El Haddadi in stoppage time after an assist from Sergio Fernández. In the second half, Leganés B were reduced to ten men in the 60th minute when Marco Leiton was sent off for a second yellow card. Despite playing the last half hour with one player less, the reserve team continued to search for a second goal, which came in the last minute after a great finish by Jorge Herrero.
With this victory, the reserve team remains in the play-off positions for promotion to Segunda RFEF, occupying third place with 39 points, one behind the second and first-placed teams.
The next league match will be away at Las Veredillas against A.D. Torrejón (11:15 a.m.).
