C.D. Leganés reached this Wednesday an agreement with Miguel Atienza for his incorporation into the pepinero club for the next three seasons. The 27-year-old Madrid midfielder becomes the first blue-and-white signing of this summer, after arriving from Burgos C.F.
Atienza was formed in the youth categories of C.F. Fuenlabrada, debuting with the first team in 2017 at barely 17 years old. In 2018 he signed for S.D. Eibar, playing his first year in C.D. Vitoria of Segunda División ‘B’. The following year he debuted in LALIGA EA SPORTS with the armero outfit, progressively gaining prominence in the next two courses in Ipurua.
In the summer of 2022 he signed for Burgos C.F., a club in which he has remained for the last four seasons, becoming a key piece of the burgalés outfit from the start. With those of El Plantío he has disputed 163 official matches, helping his team to consolidate themselves in the category and to graze, in this last campaign, the promotion playoff to Primera División.
A midfielder of presence, coverage, and physical deployment, Atienza is characterized by his competitiveness and character in the midfield, in addition to enjoying a good treatment of the ball. The Madrid footballer will be a pepinero until 2029, initiating this way a new professional stage at the Ontime Butarque.
Atienza will be presented this Thursday, June 25 starting from 13:00 hours in the press room of the Ontime Butarque Stadium.
