C.D. Leganés participated in the first edition of the Conference on Museums, Archives, and Historical Heritage Departments of Soccer Clubs, held on September 29 and 30 at Camp de Mestalla and organized by Valencia C.F. through the Heritage Department of the VCF Foundation.
The conference brought together representatives from seventeen clubs, as well as professionals from the Institute for Heritage Restoration at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the ETNO Valencian Museum of Ethnology, the Regional Ministry of Culture, and various specialized publications.
During the working sessions, participants shared experiences, projects, and methodologies related to the management of archives, documentary collections, museums, and historical heritage departments. This gathering provided a space to exchange knowledge and highlight the work carried out by sports organizations to preserve and promote their legacy.
C.D. Leganés’ participation in this conference reinforces the club’s commitment to preserving its history and heritage—fundamental elements for keeping alive the identity of an organization that continues to grow without losing sight of its roots.
C.D. Leganés thanks Valencia C.F. for the invitation and for the excellent organization of this inaugural conference, which was designed to be an ongoing event and an important forum for collaboration among professionals responsible for safeguarding and disseminating the historical memory of soccer clubs.
