C.D. Leganés 'B' was unable to pick up any points in the match played against Real C.D. Carabanchel (0-1), corresponding to the thirty-second matchday of Group 7 in Tercera Federación.
A narrow defeat for the "pepinero" reserve team in a match that was conditioned from the start by a penalty awarded to the visitors in the 4th minute for an alleged handball in the area by Yuri. During the first forty-five minutes, Manolo Rueda's side did not feel comfortable on the pitch at the I.D. Butarque.
After the halftime break, the equalizer nearly arrived in the 55th minute with a strike from inside the six-yard box by Álvaro González, which the opposing goalkeeper saved to prevent the 1-1. Ten minutes later, the referee once again pointed to the penalty spot in favor of Carabanchel, but this time Javi Garrido guessed the opponent's intentions and prevented the visitors' second goal.
Leganés B continued to push for the draw until the very end, even after being reduced to ten men in the 80th minute following the sending off of striker Carlos Muñoz.
Despite failing to pick up any points, the reserve team remains in the promotion play-off spots for Segunda RFEF with two matchdays remaining in the regular season. Their next fixture will be against C.D.F. Tres Cantos.
