Asier Garitano: "We have ninety minutes left in three days and we will give everything to try to turn it around".

The coach of C.D. Leganés, Asier Garitano, appeared at a press conference after the match that the pepineros played at the Vallecas Stadium, corresponding to the first leg of the semifinals of the play-off for promotion to LaLiga Santander.

The coach assessed the match in this way: "The result is very hard for us. The match was evenly matched until the last twenty minutes, but after conceding the two goals it got messy. It was a resounding defeat, but we have to keep fighting. We have ninety more minutes, we would have liked to get another result, but we have no other choice but to try to make the heroic deed. We ask the people to be there with the team, we will fight for what we have left".

"We will fight knowing that it is very difficult, but we have the obligation to try and we will see if we can do it."

Asier believes that the first home goal hurt them: "I always take responsibility for everything, and more so when there is a defeat of this kind. The match was very tight, with few goal situations until the hour mark. We had the first corner.... Who takes the lead influences the mood a lot, they scored in the first one they had and then they made it 2-0 when we had prepared the two substitutions. The second one hurt us a lot, the team broke up a lot and from a free kick we conceded the third one. From what we saw in the match, it's probably excessive, but if they did it, why can't we do it in three days' time?

The player from Bergara does not throw in the towel and assures that the team will give everything on Sunday: "It is normal that we are low because we did not want to receive a defeat of this caliber. We have been competing for nine months, we have the last ninety minutes in three days and we are going to give everything to try to turn it around. We will fight until the end. We're going to keep trying in three days, it's the only thing we can control and what we're going to do. I hope that the people who can come will be with the team, we will fight knowing that it is very difficult, but we have the obligation to try and we will see if we can do it".
