The Puebla reserve team could not win in their visit to the Ciudad Deportiva del Rayo Vallecano (3-2) in the match corresponding to the first day of the play-off for promotion to 2nd division.
The match started with high intensity between the two subsidiaries wanting to be protagonists of the ball. In the 12th minute, Rentero managed to put C.D. Leganés 'B' ahead after an assist from Diego García, taking advantage of a mistake in the Rayo's defense.
In the 20th minute, Rayo Vallecano 'B' equalized after a series of rejections in the area. With the score level, the team led by Ángel Dongil got the second goal to turn the game around in the 27th minute. Before the end of the first half, Oliva could have equalized with a shot at the far post, but the goalkeeper saved the chance.
In the second half, Carlos Martinez's team took a step forward looking for the equalizer. In the 67th minute, Álex scored the 2-2, but the referee disallowed the goal for a possible offside by Cerrato. Despite the adverse scoreline, the team did not give up and pulled one back in the 80th minute thanks to a goal by Mario Rivas.
First defeat of the season for C.D. Leganés 'B', which was the only undefeated team in Spain. The team coached by Carlos Martínez continues in first position with 50 points, with five games left to play in the promotion play-offs.
