C.D. Leganés ‘B’ get their first home win over Marino de Luanco (3-0)

A first home win of the season for the reserve side as they defeat Club Marino de Luanco 3-0 thanks to goals from Joserra, Óscar and Álex. The Pepineros fought a hard battle, leading at halftime and clinching their victory in the second half.

C.D. Leganés 'B' played host in their ninth game of Group 1 of the Segunda RFEF against Club Marino de Luanco. It was a close encounter of midfield battles and no clear winner. The reserve side grew into the game as the minutes wore on at the I.D. Butarque, defending the visitors' most threatening passage of play after a free-kick came into contact with Sergio Valero's net, who made his official start for the affiliate team.

Joserra in the first half, Óscar and Álex in the second half

Just as the halt time whistled loomed, Joserra opened the Pepineros' account in the 42' and his own personally as a blanquiazul footballer. As the second half got underway, Leganés did not hesitate to double their lead, with Carlos Martínez's supply to Marc Echarri and Óscar developing into the Pepineros' second goal of the night by the 54'.

As the lead grew, the reserve side looked to establish more control over the ball and stronger possession play. Patience paid off as, in the 64', Álex maintained his composure once he was through, alone with the keeper, to put the game beyond Luanco's reach and make it 3-0. The Pepineros scored once again through Marc Echarri, but the referree disallowed the forward from making the goalsheet.

C.D. Leganés collect their third victory of the season, as they break their three game streak without a win to notch 11 points in nine games. Their next league encounter will be on Sunday 7th November against U.D. Llanera.
