C.D. Leganés 'B' lose narrowly to C.D. Arenteiro (1-0)

C.D. Leganés 'B's eighth game in Group 1 of Segunda RFEF finished in favour of opponents C.D. Arenteiro (1-0). A set-piece goal in the first half from Adrián Cruz tipped the balance for the Galicians.

C.D. Leganés 'B' narrowly lost on their visit to the Estadio Municipal de Espiñedo, where despite their numerous chances to salvage a point from their eighth league fixture went unconverted. Adrián Cruz's side made the most going forward in the first half to score the only goal in the encounter.

Carlos Martinez's squad did not lie down to rest, generating more attacking threat in the second half. In the 80', Cassio Jr had a powerful shot from the edge of the 12-yard box that demanded an athletic save from the home keeper. Right after, David López's header from a corner was just kept out of the mouth of goal by the Galician back line.

A valiant effort without recompense for Leganés 'B', who remain in 12th place with 8 points at this point in the matchweek. Their next league fixture will be back on home ground at the I.D. Butarque against Marino de Luanco.
