El C.D. Leganés and Beitar Jerusalén F.C. this Thursday reached an agreement concerning the season-long loan of centre back Josua Antonio Mejías García. The 24 year old will play the rest of the 2021/22 season in the top flight of Israeli football.
Mejías arrived at Leganés in 2017, arriving from his native Venezuela after having finished runner-up with the U20 team at the world championships in Korea. Since then, the defender has played at F.C. Cartagena on two loan spells, as well as Gimnàstic de Tarragona, Atlético de Madrid 'B' and Málaga C.F., where he featured in 24 games in LaLiga SmartBank last season.
