C.D. Leganés played in the XXIX edition of LaLiga Promises

C.D. Leganés participated this past weekend, through its Infantil 'B', in the LaLiga Promises tournament organized by LaLiga and the José Ramón de la Morena Foundation. The pepineros players enjoyed the experience of facing the youth teams of the rest of the Primera División teams.

It was the club's fourth participation in this tournament, which could not be held last year due to the pandemic. The team coached by Jara Cuenca arrived at the tournament held in Villarreal after a great season, finishing in fourth place with 29 points in Group 4 of the First Autonomous Division. The pepineros were placed in a difficult Group 'B' along with Granada C.F., Sevilla F.C. and Real Sociedad.

Leganés failed to win their first two matches played on Friday morning against Granada C.F. (1-3) and Sevilla F.C. (1-3). (1-3) and Sevilla F.C. (4-0), losing in the afternoon by the minimum against Valencia C.F. (1-0). (1-0) and a point in the last match of the group stage against Real Sociedad (1-1), falling one point short of a place in the round of 16.
