C.D Leganés wins against C.D Mirandés, its third consecutive win at Butarque (1-0).

C.D Leganés won against C.D Mirandés at Estadio Municipal Butarque (1-0) for the tenth matchday of LaLiga SmartBank. A great goal by Arnaiz by the start of the second half gave the three points to the pepineros who have achieved their third consecutive win at Butarque.

C.D Leganés had three changes in its line-up: Gaku Shibasaki replaced Luis Perea, Dani Ojeda replaced Rubén Pardo, and Dani Ojeda did the same for Santos.

A draw without goals after the first half

C.D Leganés started playing with intensity in the first quarter and managed to have some options and a possible penalty kick against Bustinza that the referee did not call. Mirandés responded with an outside shot on the 24’ by Javi Muñoz that went wide, and later with another one by Pablo Martinez that Cuéllar stopped.

The pepineros tried it from the left wing and found an occasion on the 33rd after a cross by Bustinza that Arnaiz could not finish. The rojillos replied with a shoot by Moreno that went to Cuéllar’s left. The white and blues had another chance through Dani Ojeda who kicked the ball with his right foot that Lizoain stopped. José Luis Martí sent Santos after the break to replace Palencia, Ojeda started playing at the right and Arnaiz at the left. It was Arnaiz the one that scored from the left wing the first goal of the match. He got into the area on the 49’ and strongly kicked the ball making it impossible for Lizoain. 1-0.

Martí was forced to make his second substitution after Omeruo’s injury: Rosales replaced him and Bustinza continued playing as a central defender. Mirandés tried to respond with a header by Pablo Martínez but Cuéllar stopped it. By the middle of the second half Rubén Pardo replaced Dani Ojeda and Sabin Merino did the same for Borja Bastón.

The match continued without relevant chances. Luis Perea replaced Arnaiz to strengthen the midfield. The burgaleses tried to score after Javi Jimenez’s volley on the 83’ that went wide. The locals defended with order and barely conceded chanced to the rivals. It was 1-0 at the end. Leganés has now eighteen points and is now focused on its next match (Friday, 21:00h) against Albacete at Carlos Belmonte.
