The C.D. Leganés Women's Senior team could not collect all three points against C.D. Magerit (2-2) in a high scoring match that finished all square. The first home game of the season for the squad, Trapero and Ale were the goalscorers in for the pepineras.
Jero Martos' squad's first taste of home football was not as sweet as he would have hoped after C.D. Magerit salvaged a draw against the blanquiazules. Returning to the Anezo Jesús Polo after pulverising Juventud Sanse 0-8, their wishes for consecutive victories went unanswered despite plenty of chances during the game to score even more.
C.D. Magerit, a team whose first week record shows a win over one of the league favourites, A.D. Colmenar Viejo, came out swinging from the first whistle and were swiftly rewarded in the 2'. Their lead was shortlived when in the 8', Trapero levelled the score for the locals, but for all the chances and efforts that followed their quick response, the first 45 saw no more goals.
Trapero and Ale, the pepinera scorers
With the second half underway, it was much the same for the blanquiazules, who produced a lot of attacking threat but had little to show for it until their deserved second goal in the 80' after Ale leapt onto a corner ball to put the hosts ahead. Again, the lead was shortlived in this close match with the visitors responding three minutes later to tie the score once and for all at 2-2.
The tension continued right up to the final whistle, with the pepineras enjoying the most promising chance for victory after a scramble in the box in the final few minutes. But it was not to be for the senior squad who had to settle with a draw after a performance that deserved more.
The Juvenil Women's team loses to Madrid C.F.F, one of the division's strongest sides
Jorge Ridao's Juvenil squad will feel hard done by after their second league fixture ended 3-0 to their opponents. A harsh result for a competitive match, but one in which the mistakes eventually stacked against them.
