C.D. Leganés played their fourth preseason friendly this Wednesday in a match against Valencia C.F. at the Ciudad Deportiva of the ché team, which ended with the final score of ...
With the main highlight being Marvel's debut with Leganés after his signing was made official on Tuesday, and also the debut of the maroon-colored second kit, Miguel had the first chance of the match in the 10th minute after a cross from Rubén Peña from the right, narrowly missing high.
Leganés pressed high, preventing Valencia's game progression and looking to attack through combinations and runs down the wings. Valencia's first chance came in the 36th minute with a high shot from Almeida from the edge of the box that went well over Juan Soriano's goal. With no further chances for either side, the evenly matched first half came to an end.
The second half began with four changes for Leganés, including the debut of Benjamin Pauwels, who also made his first appearance as a pepinero after arriving on Monday from the Dutch side Cambuur. The balance remained the theme after the restart, heightened by the carousel of substitutions on both sides, typical of preseason matches.
Midway through the second half, another debut for Leganés, this time for Uruguayan Sebastián Figueredo, who got his first minutes at right-back. With no notable chances in the second forty-five minutes, the match ended in a goalless draw for a Leganés team that continues to build its preparation and left a good impression against a LALIGA EA SPORTS side.
The pepineros will face their next preseason match next Tuesday (8:00 PM) against Oxford United in England.
