Cissé and Neyou, called up for the national team matchday

They start the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with Guinea and Cameroon, respectively.

Two C.D. Leganés players have been called up by their national teams for international matches this November. Seydouba Cissé and Yvan Neyou are leaving with the national teams of Guinea and Cameroon, respectively.

Cissé is already a regular in Guinea's call-ups, and on this occasion the young midfielder returns with his national team to begin the qualifying phase for the 2026 World Cup. Drawn in Group G of the African confederation, the Guineans kick off on Friday (14:00) against Uganda in the Moroccan city of Berkan, and then travel to Botswana to play on Tuesday 21 (14:00).

Neyou returns to Cameroon after almost two years' absence

Yvan Neyou's good work has brought him back into the Cameroon squad after playing in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. The Indomitable Lions, placed in Group D of the qualifiers, kick off their World Cup campaign on Friday (20:00) in Douala against Mauritius, before travelling to Benghazi to visit Libya on Tuesday 21 (17:00).

The two players will not be in Leganés' match in Valladolid on Friday, and will return for the clash on Sunday 26th (14:00) against Racing Ferrol in Butarque.
