Homegrown player Sergio Navarro makes his debut with the first team

It was a special day for the Cantera Pepinera this Sunday in Ponferrada. A new canterano made his debut with the first team of C.D. Leganés: 22-year-old Sergio Navarro played his first minutes with the first team in the team's victory at El Toralín (0-1).

Navarro entered the field in the 72nd minute of the match, even with the scoreboard still tied at 0-0. Carlos Martínez, his coach this season in C.D. Leganés 'B', gave him the alternative replacing Juanjo Narváez, and the youth player, who had played the ninety minutes with the reserve team the day before against C.D. Guadalajara, took advantage of his opportunity.

Raised in the Cantera Pepinera from the infantile category, Navarro returned to the Blue and Whites' discipline last summer after having played on loan in the past seasons at R.C.D. Carabanchel and C.D.A. Navalcarnero. With the '37' on his back, the youth player became the second player to make his debut with the first team this season, after Lalo Aguilar.
