C.D. Leganés continues to reinforce its youth football structure with the incorporation of Roberto Martínez as the new youth football coordinator and technical secretary. With an extensive experience in Madrid football, Martínez joins the team led by Jorge Broto, bringing a wide experience in recruitment, training, sports planning and technical management.
With an extensive career in Madrid football, Martínez has been for five years director of men's football at the Real Federación de Fútbol de Madrid (RFFM), where he promoted a profound modernization of training soccer with the creation of the Superligas, the Debutantes category and the professionalization of the regional teams.
Previously, he worked for six seasons in the Real Madrid youth academy as head of recruitment and training, and also has experience in clubs such as Betis San Isidro, E.F. Carabanchel or Las Rozas. His last position was in the soccer department of the company Best of You.
His arrival after the departure of Paco Gallardo, is another step forward in the club's commitment to the training and development of young talent.
