C.D. Leganés reinforces its right wing with Uruguayan Sebastián Figueredo

The Charrúa winger signs for the next three seasons from Montevideo Wanderers.

C.D. Leganés reached an agreement on Monday with Montevideo Wanderers for the transfer of 23-year-old Uruguayan right-back Sebastián María Figueredo Vilar del Valle. The Uruguayan, an U-23 international with his country, signs for the next three seasons.

Native from Montevideo, Figueredo came up through the youth ranks at Wanderers, making his first-team debut in April 2022 against Danubio in the Uruguayan Apertura. The following year he consolidated his place in the team, scoring his first professional goal against River Plate of Montevideo in July 2023.

In October of the same year, Figueredo made his debut with the Uruguayan national team, participating in the 2023 Panamerican Games in Chile, where Uruguay finished fifth, playing in all four games of the tournament.

U-23 international with Uruguay and consolidated as one of the most promising fullbacks in his country.

In the last season, Figueredo has been one of the key pieces of his team, playing almost all the minutes in the Uruguayan championship and standing out as one of the most promising fullbacks of his competition. A player with a good physique thanks to his 1'80 height, he stands out for his incorporations to the attack and his ability to run the wing without neglecting his defensive duties.

The new Pepinero player now faces his first European experience with the desire to help Leganés achieve their goals. He signs until 2028 and the date of his presentation will be announced soon.
