The coach of C.D. Leganés, Paco López, appeared this Sunday at a press conference after the match that the pepinero team played against Cultural Leonesa at the Reino de León Stadium, corresponding to the fourth round of LALIGA HYPERMOTION, which ended in a draw (0-0).
The coach evaluated the match as follows:
Match evaluation: "Overall, we generated more shots, more on-target attempts, hit the crossbar... We couldn't have done more in terms of chances to win. The opponent played with enthusiasm and had good moments. We're lacking precision in the final meters with Diego's one-on-one, Miguel's chance... Those kinds of opportunities need to be converted if you want to win matches. It's been hard for us to get three points, but I'm satisfied with the team's performance on a field where few opponents will manage to win. This is the path we need to follow, but obviously with more precision."
Protests: "There are always protests. There's a lot of tension, and what surprised us was that we had the fourth official with excellent behavior, but suddenly the assistant came from the other side, and we don't know what he saw, but he sent off Toni and booked Ignasi. These things are surprising, but the refereeing was correct and didn't influence important decisions."
Cultural: "I really like their approach. I saw them being much bolder with the ball, driven by their fans, playing with enthusiasm. Everything is so evenly matched that with that kind of drive, it won't be easy to win here."
Pressure: "There's always pressure when you don't win. It's four draws, in three of them we were superior and deserved to win, but this isn't about feelings, it's about points. We can't deviate from the path; that's the way to turn this around."
Physical condition: "In the end, they pressed us and put us under a bit more pressure, but without clear chances. Every match is extremely difficult. I don't think it's a conditioning issue. Duk's substitution was because his efforts are tremendous, and it's not easy to maintain that pace. Many games are played within the game, and there are moments. We didn't create chances at the end, but overall, our team should have won."
Fans: "I thank the fans for traveling; we leave with the regret of not being able to give them that victory."
