Preview: C.D. Leganés wants to close 2020 with a triumph in Gijón

The C.D. Leganés will visit this Monday (21:00 hours) the Real Sporting in the El Molinón Stadium - Enrique Castro, "Quini", in a match corresponding to the nineteenth day of LaLiga SmartBank. The pepineros will seek to close the 2020 with a win that will allow them to add the last three points at stake this year.

C.D. Leganés faces in Gijón its last game of the year 2020. A difficult year in all senses, which the white-blue team hopes to close with a smile when the match at El Molinón ends. A stadium where they have never managed to take three points in their previous visits, seven of them in the silver category and one, the last one, in the Santander League.
For this, the coach Pepinero, José Luis Martí, will not be able to count on the Valencian extreme Róber Ibáñez, due to a sanction, after being fired on the last day against R.C.D. Mallorca. As for the players with physical problems, the coach revealed that they will wait until Monday to know the available players and if they can recover Bustinza or Santos, who missed both the match against the Balearic Islands and the Copa del Rey in Ourense.

The Real Sporting, to continue unbeaten at home and climb to fourth place.

For their part, Real Sporting arrive at the match after having broken a three-day winless streak in the last match against Real Zaragoza (1-0). In addition, the Red-White advanced in the Copa del Rey by beating the Quintanar del Rey (1-2) with a goal in the final minutes. Sporting is the only team in the category that remains unbeaten at home, having won six and drawn three of their nine home games.
To continue with this good streak and, in the meantime, advance to fourth position, which they would achieve if they beat the pepineros, the sportinguist coach, David Gallego, will not be able to count on the injured Manu Garcia and Nacho Mendez, while the central Babin will be doubtful until the last minute after retiring with discomfort on the last day. It will be a special match for goalkeeper Iván Cuéllar, who will return to El Molinón for the first time after nine seasons wearing Sporting's shirt.
The match will be refereed by the Canarian referee, Mr. Juan Luis Pulido Santana.
