Carlos Martínez: "We really needed this victory".

C.D. Leganés' coach, Carlos Martínez, visited the press room at El Toralín this Sunday after the match that the team played against S.D. Ponferradina, corresponding to the thirty-fifth matchday of LaLiga SmartBank, and which ended with a 0-1 win.

The coach confessed that "you always dream of winning, even if it's in the last minute. We were very happy, we really needed to get these points against a direct rival". About the match, he analyzed that the team "came out with a profile of players who were consistent and orderly. We started off well, with a few chances, but as the first half went on, we got too deep and they were more comfortable".

The player from Extremadura believes that "in the second half we came out with the idea of going a little higher and, with the changes, playing with their need to take risks. We had more vertical players and it worked out well, even if it was from a corner".

Finally, on his situation on the bench, he commented that he is "a hard-working member of the club. I have been with the club for many years and I would like to continue, but I am ready for whatever they decide".
