In what was a tight and contested meeting between the two sides, C.D. Leganés could not overcome the visitors. Highlights include Xavi Quintillà's debut for the club and a second half that showed a lot more promise for the season ahead.

The pepineros starting 11 included Riesgo; Tarín, Omeruo, Sergio, Quintillà; Luis Perea, Cissé; Alex, Avilés, Eraso and Arnaiz. After an even first half, Asier Garitano brought on a completely new eleven for the next 45 minutes. Sabin Merino almost struck gold at the far post from Palencia's cross in the 53rd minute and Juan Muñoz's shot from the edge of the area in the 65th minute fizzed just wide of the post.

Adalberto headed C.F. Fuenlabrada into the lead in the 78th minute, to which Leganés responded with a double chance for Manu Garrido, the clearest in the 83rd minute after a great assist from Juan Muñoz that ended with a one-on-one save from Belman.

José Luis Oltra's team sealed their victory with Kanté's goal in the 90th minute. C.D. Leganés' next matches will be on Saturday, with the friendly against A.D. Alcorcón (10:00hs, ID) and the XLI Trofeo Villa de Leganés (19:00hs, ID).
