The C.D. Leganés returns this Tuesday seven years later to the O Couto stadium. The pepineros played their last match there in 2013, and now they are back for their debut in the current edition of the Copa de S.M. El Rey and to face Ourense C.F. for the first time in their history.
It will be the first time that both teams will face each other in an official match. The locals, founded in 1977, will make their debut against the "pepineros", who visited Ourense up to twelve times to play against the extinct C.D. Ourense, which disappeared in 2014, four times in the Second Division and another eight in the Second "B".
The only victory in Ourense, in 1995; in the last visit, C.D. Leganés qualified for the 'play-off'.
The only victory on Ourense territory came in January 1995, with a 2-0 win over C.D. Ourense. Luis Ángel Duque's team won in O Couto thanks to the goals of Iñigo in the first half and Aguilar in the second.
The last match in Ourense took place in May 2013, when Pablo Alfaro's team tied (1-1) with a goal by Carlos Martínez and qualified, on the next-to-last day, for the play-off for promotion to the Second Division.
