The C.D. Leganés will face Sevilla F.C. in the sixteenth final of the Copa de S.M. El Rey, after the draw held this Friday at the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in Las Rozas. The qualifying round will be held on January 16 or 17 in a single match at the Municipal Stadium Butarque.
After eliminating Ourense C.F. and U.D. Socuéllamos in the first two rounds, José Luis Martí's team will face a new challenge against Sevilla F.C., in which they will try to reach the round of 16 for the fourth consecutive season against a team from La Liga Santander. For their part, Sevilla F.C. eliminated Lucena (0-3) and Linares Deportivo (0-2) in the two previous qualifying rounds, and have two former pepineran players in their ranks, Oscar Rodríguez and En-Nesyri. The semi-finals of the 2017/18 season are thus being re-edited.
