The C.D. Leganés squad returned to work this Monday after the summer break. From early in the morning, the players faced the start of the new 2023/24 season with the first contact at the Butarque Sports Facility.
Divided into groups, the players underwent various stress tests and functional tests prior to the start of training on the pitch. These tests will also be carried out on Tuesday, July 4, with the first session on the pitch scheduled for Wednesday at 9:00 am. On Thursday the team will have a double session (9:00 am and 7:30 pm), while on Friday and Saturday training will be at 9:00 am. The sessions will be open-door sessions at I.D. Butarque in this first week back to work.
The players starting the preseason are: Dani Jiménez, Diego Conde, Javi Garrido, Alvin, Miramón, Nyom, Sergio González, Arambarri, Lalo, Ofoli, Josema, Javi Hernández, Undabarrena, Luis Perea, Raba, Avilés, Naim, Diego García, Manu Garrido, Darío Poveda, Armenteros, Ro, Kayondo, Álex Gil, Arauz and Kelvin. Cissé will join later as he is playing the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations with Guinea, and Omeruo after playing matches with Nigeria in June.
