The Cantera of C.D. Leganés ends a successful 2020/21 season, in which two teams, Alevín 'A' and Benjamín 'A', were proclaimed champions in their respective leagues, and in which, in addition, there was a promotion, that of Benjamín 'B'.
Two teams were proclaimed league champions after the conclusion of the competitions. Alevín 'A', coached by Jesús Nova, was the league champion of Group 4 of the First Autonomous Division, managing to finish the season with 46 points without defeat in sixteen games. In addition, it has been the team with the most goals scored (79) and the one that has conceded the least (8); and the Benjamín 'A' coached by Alberto González, who won the champions' trophy with 30 points after winning all ten league games, being the team with the most goals scored (83) and the one that conceded the fewest (5).
Leganés 'C' will return to compete one more season in the First Regional League after finishing ninth in Group 4 of the category. The Pepinero team coached by Jonathan Di Giosa has scored 28 points in 19 matches, with a balance of 8 wins, 4 draws and 7 defeats.
The División de Honor Juvenil 'A' will compete one more season in División de Honor
The Juvenil 'A' team coached by Sergio Solís certified its presence in the highest category of youth soccer for another year. The pepineros finished the regular season in Group 5B of División de Honor in fifth position with 23 points, with a balance of 5 wins, 8 draws and 5 defeats. Next year they will once again fight for a place among the best national youth teams in the country.
For their part, Raúl Huertas' Juvenil 'B' finished in fourth position in Group 12B Nacional with 24 points, with a balance of 7 wins, 3 draws and 6 defeats. The Juvenil 'C' team coached by David Jiménez finished the season in a meritorious third position in Group 2 of the First Autonomic Division. The pepineros once again demonstrated their level against rivals with a greater age difference. In 19 league games they have scored 38 points, with a balance of 12 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats.
Cadets and Infantiles complete a great year
Cadet 'A', coached by Álvaro Herradón, closed the season in fourth place with a total of 42 points and a balance of 13 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats. The Blue and Whites will return to compete next year in the First Autonomous Division. For its part, Francisco Javier Fernández 'Kiko''s Cadete 'B' finished in eighth position in Group 2 of the First Autonomic Division, obtaining 30 points in eighteen league games, with a balance of 10 wins and 8 defeats.
The Infantil 'A' team coached by José Luis Martín finished their season in fourth position in Group 2 of the División de Honor. The pepineros have scored 33 points, being equal with the third classified team and three points behind the second place, with a balance of 10 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats. Meanwhile, Jara Cuenca's Infantil 'B' finished in fourth position with 29 points in Group 4 of the First Autonomic Division, with a balance of 9 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats, being the second team with the most goals scored in the category. In addition, special mention to their participation in the XXIX edition of LaLiga Promises competing against some of the best youth teams in the country.
The Benjamín 'B' achieves promotion
For its part, Rubén García's Alevín 'B' finished in a meritorious eighth position with 27 points in Group 3 of the First Autonomous Division, competing against rivals a year older.
The Benjamín 'B' finished the season in fifth place with 21 points in Group 14 of Preferente. The team coached by Daniel Arribas achieved promotion. For its part, Alberto Galisteo's Prebenjamín A finished in second place with 36 points in Group 43 of football-7 with a balance of 12 wins and 2 defeats.
