C.D. Leganés has begun work on installing new video scoreboards at both ends of the stadium. Meanwhile, preparations are being finalized for the installation of new modular seating, which is expected to begin next week.
Each of the new state-of-the-art video scoreboards (LG brand, top of the range) will measure 11 x 6 meters, which is more than double the size of the current video scoreboard located on the side. For their installation, two monopoles will be built on the outside of the stadium, requiring excavation and setting work that has already begun and will continue over the coming weeks. It is estimated that they will be fully operational during the month of December.
The capacity of the Ontime Butarque Stadium will increase to 14,436 seats
Meanwhile, preparations are being finalized for the installation of the new modular grandstand. These stands, which will be installed by Gomobe, the same suppliers for other LALIGA stadiums, will have a capacity of 1,248 spectators, increasing the total capacity of Ontime Butarque to 14,436 seats. They will be located at the south end, as this is where the necessary permits for their installation were obtained first.
This new stand will have separate entrances and restrooms, as well as its own food and beverage service. Installation work is expected to begin next week and, if the established deadlines are met, will last between four and six weeks.
The club continues to work on improvements with a firm commitment to enhancing the experience
The club continues to work on improvements to the Ontime Butarque stadium with a firm commitment to enhancing the experience for all fans. These improvements have not only focused on the installation of these new elements, but also on the renovation and improvement of its exterior and interior walls, entrances, stairs, seats, signage, and corporate image. All of this is something that has been in the works for weeks and will continue to take place in parallel with the installation of the new video scoreboards and modular stands.
The club thanks the Leganés City council for its willingness and work in reviewing all of these projects and granting the corresponding permits.
