Enric Franquesa

A native of Sant Cugat de Vallès, Franquesa came up through the youth ranks at F.C. Barcelona, making his debut with the club’s reserve team while still a junior during the 2015–16 season. The following season, he played on loan at C.E. Sabadell and C.F. Gavà, and in 2017 he joined Villarreal C.F. ‘B’. With Villarreal’s reserve team, he spent two seasons in Segunda División ‘B’, playing nearly fifty matches and participating in both promotion playoffs.

In 2019, he made the leap to LaLiga SmartBank with C.D. Mirandés. With the Anduva-based team, he made 27 appearances and reached the Copa del Rey semifinals. In the 2020–21 season, he moved to Girona F.C., playing 34 matches in which he scored four goals and came within a hair’s breadth of promotion to the First Division, falling in the playoff final to Rayo Vallecano—a final in which Franquesa scored a goal.

In 2021, he made his LaLiga Santander debut with Levante U.D., where he spent a season and a half. In January 2023, he joined Butarque, where he played 13 matches and 923 minutes in the second half of that season. That summer, he extended his loan to become one of the best fullbacks in the division and helped the team earn promotion to LALIGA EA SPORTS; following that, he became a full-fledged Pepinero player, now owned by the club.
