C.D. Leganés coach Paco López appeared at a press conference on Saturday after his team's match against S.D. Eibar at Ipurua, corresponding to the eleventh matchday of LALIGA HYPERMOTION, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
The coach assessed the match as follows:
Match assessment: "It was a typical Second Division match, very competitive. I really liked Eibar, they have the same hallmarks as always without the ball, but with the ball Beñat is giving them a lot of variety and they are very difficult to neutralize, which is why they haven't lost here. Very few teams are capable of getting something out of this game. We started very well in the first 15-20 minutes, coming out of their pressure, and we had the clearest chance with Naim's header, which would have given us a lot more peace of mind. Then they adjusted and made it more difficult for us to get out. The game evened out and then they kept pushing with crosses from the wings. We were able to dig deep and in the final stretch we regained control, but we lacked a little more daring and aggression to create more chances, that little bit of conviction and determination in the final third".
Good momentum: “The team is getting better and better. We are the team with the fewest goals conceded alongside Las Palmas, we have kept three consecutive clean sheets, which is not easy in this division. We want to be competitive with and without the ball, and we are developing that mentality. It's very difficult and it's going to be a long road”.
