Leganés will participate in the I LaLiga's retro Matchday

LALIGA will hold the first Retro Matchday in its history from April 10 to 13, 2026, a pioneering initiative in European professional football that will feature all 38 clubs from LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION. C.D. Leganés will take part in this special initiative, wearing a kit inspired by iconic designs from the club’s history, created exclusively for the occasion.
During Matchday 35 of LALIGA HYPERMOTION, in which our team will host Albacete Balompié, the team will wear this new retro kit, conceived as a bridge between generations and as a way to highlight the club’s origins and identity. The referees will also join the initiative, wearing a special design created by the RFEF Referees’ Technical Committee (CTA).
The Retro Matchday has been created with the aim of celebrating “a very much alive legacy”, bringing to the pitch shirts that reinterpret past eras and connect fans with the moments that have shaped each club’s journey. A proposal that brings together football and fashion, turning clubs’ history into a contemporary trend.
The full collection will be presented on Thursday, March 19, at MBFWMadrid, one of the most important showcases in the creative industry. All the kits that form part of this joint initiative will be unveiled there, placing the historical heritage of Spanish football at the center of the cultural conversation.
C.D. Leganés is proud to take part in this initiative, which highlights the clubs’ history and their connection with supporters, and which will allow fans to see an updated reinterpretation of one of the most recognizable designs in our history on the pitch.
