C.D. Leganés coach Igor Oca held a press conference following Sunday’s match between the Pepineros and Real Valladolid at José Zorrilla Stadium, part of Matchday 30 of LALIGA HYPERMOTION.
The Blue-and-White coach assessed the ninety minutes as follows:
Match summary: "The first half was terribly far from what we aim for—surprising, even given where we are right now. I understand that this feeling, which we’ve experienced, is also being felt by the fans and the club. It’s true that the turnaround we made in the second half was significant, but it wasn’t enough”.
Personal situation: “I have enough energy to turn things around, to help the players understand these kinds of situations, knowing how complex this moment is”.
Defense: “We’re the third-least-scored-on team, and it’s not normal for this to happen. Another set-piece situation, a cross from the wing that we’ve seen before… We need to work on it; some situations are more individual, others more collective, but you can’t explain it based on one game when our defensive performance prior to this has been very commendable”.
