C.D. Leganés coach, Asier Garitano, appeared at a press conference after the match against Málaga C.F., in the penultimate round of LaLiga SmartBank, which ended in a 1-0 victory with a goal by Róber Ibáñez to certify qualification for the promotion play-offs:

"Anyone who believes that they will not suffer is that they have no fucking idea what Leganés is. That's how things are achieved here, by fighting, this is Lega. I congratulate the players because they have done an incredible job, it was not easy and it gives more value to what we are doing".
Regarding the match, the Leganés coach commented that "everything is difficult and play-off matches are always like that. The most important thing is to know who we are and maintain that line. We have to keep insisting and see how far we can go. The objective is very difficult and the most important thing was to have the opportunity; I congratulate the players and also the previous coaching staff, because the work is also theirs".
