C.D Leganés has officially presented Borja Bastón as the club’s new player. The forward from Madrid will wear the number 24. He is excited about the new challenge he is about to face and thinks it is going to be a great year.
The club’s sports director Txema Indias had appreciation words to the forward: “I like to highlight his commitment with the club. He is a player that is coming from the premier league and with that he demonstrates his desire to wear our colors. He has scored goals every year and we thank him for his will to arrive under the current circumstances. He has been improving and making big steps since he made his debut with Atlético, he knows Second Division and has experience. It is a luxury for us to have him and we hope this bet turns well for all”.

Borja Bastón was excited about this new stage in his career: “I am excited about returning all the trust in the pitch, have more training sessions and matches and trying to achieve our objectives. It may be a great year for us all. Second Division is a hard, equal, and long category and we must be ready. It will be a difficult challenge, but I want to return the trust the club has put in me”.
The forward referred to his objectives: “Today’s football demands forwards to be complete. Goals are part of the job, but we also need to perform a good defensive work for the team and follow the movements the mister asks. I wish to score many goals and also wish my teammates do so, that will help us to get to the top”.
When asked about the reasons that took him to decide to sign for Leganés: “Hope. It may be a beautiful year, everyone has told me good things about Leganés. I understand it is a family club and I hope to enjoy that. I wanted to return home, these are difficult days for us all and it is key to be around family”.
