C.D Leganés closes the return of Uruguayan forward Michael Santos

C.D Leganés has agreed with F.C Copenhague for the loan of the 27-year-old international Uruguayan forward Michael Nicolás Santos Rosadilla. The forward returns to the pepineros where he played during the 2018/19 season.

He was formed at River Plate de Montevideo and arrived at Spain in 2016 after signing for Málaga C.F where he got to score four goals in his first season. He wore Real Sporting’s shirt in the next season in the silver category where he managed to play 36 games and score 17 goals being the fifth top scorer of the competition.

One season at Butarque before arriving at F.C Copenhague

He arrived at Butarque in 2018 for the first time on loan from Málaga C.F. He played 16 matches on that season and scored one goal and made three assists against Getafe C.D at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

Santos was transferred to Danish club F.C Copenhague in the last season where he played 36 matches. He ended up scoring nine goals, two of them for Europa League games, a competition in which his team reached the quarter finals.

Santos has played twice with the Uruguayan National Team. He now returns to C.D Leganés on loan from the Danish club. He will be looking to help the pepineros during the 2020/21 season and will be immediately available for José Luis Martí. He will wear the 23-jersey number.
