C.D. Leganés has acquired Daniel Jiménez López, 31, from A.D. Alcorcón until at least the conclusion of 2023/24. The netminder arrives at the Butarque after defending the alfarero goal for the last six and a half seasons.
Hailing from Lebrija, Dani Jiménez's initial footballing development came under the wing of local Sevilla F.C., which took him into the second team and then on to appear for their first team in a number of fixtures. His first transfer came in 2012 in a move to C.D. Mirandés, where he made his LaLiga SmartBank debut, before graduating to play for S.D. Huesca in the 2014/15 season: a successful promotion campaign.
Extensive experience with over 150 appearances in LaLiga SmartBank
The goalkeeper first came to Madrid in the 2015 summer transfer window to join A.D. Alcorcón, where he has remained for the past six and a half seasons and featured in over 150 official games as an alfarero; his final appearance came last Sunday against C.D. Leganés at the Butarque.
A keeper equipped with sharp reflexes, his arrangement with the club expires in 2024 and his presentation as a pepinero is due to be held in the next few days. In the meantime, Jiménez joins the blanquiazul squad as the continue midweek training ahead of their next fixture.
